about me
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab working on Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia). My PhD work focused on refining the cosmic distance scale, in particular on improving our calibration of the Tip of the Red Giant Branch (TRGB) method for its use in anchoring the SN Ia Hubble diagram to constrain the expansion rate of the universe. A driving force behind my research is a desire to maximize the science we can do with the data currently available to us.
I enjoy playing and watching soccer, exploring new cities, and traipsing about in nature. I also enjoy learning new languages and trying new foods.
